At WL Rods LLC, my focus is on performance-driven freshwater builds. My name is Steve Oberholtzer, and I build rods prioritized for maximum sensitivity, accurate casting, and power—not complex thread art or excessive flash. I believe a fishing rod should be a precision tool, and every component I choose serves that purpose.

Currently, I am building rods for personal testing and a select group of clients and friends as I scale operations. My goal is to begin building full-time starting in 2028.
